The 2022 Application will be available in August.
The 2022 VIP application deadline will be November 18th, 2022. Below you will find the application process and materials from the previous year. By August 2022, we will update the materials below for this year’s application deadline. While the application stays mostly the same each year, we include application upgrades annually based on our learnings of what makes Vetted Improvement Programs most successful.
Sustainable School Improvement
The Texas Education Agency is committed to supporting sustainable district and school improvement efforts. As part of that mission, it is TEA’s intent to maintain a directory of training programs that have been vetted and approved as Vetted Improvement Programs (VIP). The Vetted Improvement Programs (VIP) List will be available to LEAs to support their selection of high-quality contracted services aligned with critical actions within the Effective Schools Framework.
To be eligible for inclusion on the VIP list, respondents can utilize the VIP Readiness Guide as a reference to determine if their training program demonstrates the capacity to successfully support school improvement in areas aligned to the Effective Schools Framework. Eligible respondents include:
- Nonprofit Organizations
- Institutions of Higher Education
- Private or Public Companies
Use the Readiness Guide to help you determine if your program meets the criteria to be a VIP; if it does not, you may use this guide to determine the next steps for program development.
This application request is being conducted to support schools and districts in the selection of high-quality contracted services and does not represent a procurement action by TEA. TEA has opened the Vetted Improvement Program Application to identify training programs to include in the Vetted Improvement Programs list.
